Former LSU great Shaquille O'Neal didn't get much of a chance to star in the NCAA Tournament during his three seasons with the Tigers. His teams went a combined 2-3 (from 1990-92), never advancing past the second round.
With this year's NCAA Tournament marking the 75th anniversary of the event, O'Neal chose his top-five March Madness players for NCAA.com. And those picks reveal that while Shaq may not have had his moments, he was watching his contemporaries pretty closely.
Shaq selected three former Duke stars: Danny Ferry, Christian Laettner and Bobby Hurley--and the last two overlapped Shaq's time at LSU. He also chose Indiana's Steve Alford and Georgetown's Patrick Ewing.
